Membership Meeting – 7:30 PM February 2nd at Chester Junction

It was brought to my attention that the Tournament flyers were not loading for some folks. After some investigation, it was determined that this was affecting people trying to view the site on their phones, but it wasn’t affecting all users.

The website is not broken. It is serving the files correctly. Something has changed in your phones due to an update or something so that it no longer automatically opens PDF files. It downloads them to a folder on your phone and you need to open them manually. This is the way it has always been for me, so I didn’t catch any problems.

When the file downloads you will need to check your Status Bar to see a notification that the file downloaded. Once you see the notification, you can select it to have it open the file.

GREAT NEWS!! CVDA LEAGUE OPENING BACK UP!

CVDA Board just approved the following:

1. CVDA League play commences with the Fall Season. Roster due July 15th, 2021 with first-week of play starting Tues 17 Aug & Wed 18 Aug. Captains & Sponsors expect to see some further communications originating from the League Director. If you will be a new Team Captain and wish to be added on to the email distribution list, please send your email to Director@cvdadarts.com.
a. Sponsors, the Board recognizes the impact and hardship the pandemic has had on your businesses. CVDA Board voted to reduce the sponsor’s fees to $30 for the 2021 Fall season. Starting 1 Jan 2022 the Sponsor fee will revert to its regular amount of $50.
b. Please send all Team rosters to the CVDA P.O. Box. Any funds must be by check or Money Order made payable to “CVDA” and mailed to the CVDA PO Box. Make sure it is the New Address:

c. Reminder, Membership dues from 2020 was rolled over to 2021 and only players who did not pay last year will have to pay $15.00 Membership dues to play on a team.

2. Sanctioned Blind Draws start back up on 24 June 2021. Tournament Directors, please let the Board know if you are in need of any forms. Approved Bars to conducted CVDA Blind Draws are:

3. CVDA Weekend Tournaments commence starting 1 July 2021 with the first tournament being the FireCracker tournament at Murphy’s Law 3-4 July 2021. Be on the lookout for flyers and advertisements on Facebook and CVDA Website.

Greetings CVDA Members and Sponsors. I know it has been rough and tough times this past year and we appreciate all of your patience and understanding. The CVDA Board of Directors met given the recent changes in statewide restrictions related to COVID-19, the President’s ongoing communication with the Virginia Secretary of Commerce office, and the updates of the Governor’s Executive Order, barring any changes which would restrict our activities in the future, We are excited to announce, the CVDA is looking to move forward as follows:

1. CVDA is planning to start-up league play starting with the Fall 2021 season. Rosters will be due in July with the season kicking off mid-August.
2. Sanctioned Blind will commence in June (the official date will be announced once some behind the scene things are completed.)
3. Sanctioned Weekend Tournament startup will follow once some administrative details are worked out and will be formally announced.
4. The League Director, Vice-President, and President have recertified nine of our sponsor bar in the past two weeks. Bars recertified are: Rock Falls Tavern, Murphy’s Law, Sonny’s Chester Junction, Patrick’s, 301 Pike Pub and Grub, Jeff’s Place, Benny’s Tavern, Partner’s II, and Omega
5. We are coordinating a meeting with our sponsor so that as we move forward we are all on the same accord.
